Jesus Christ Goes, Prepares and Returns:

By Karl R. Studenroth Jr.

Christ Goes:

John 7:33 - Then Jesus said unto them, yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.

John 16:5 - But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

John 8:14 - Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go: yet ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

John 8:21 - Then Jesus said again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

John 13:33 - Little children, yet a little while I am with you.  Ye shall seek me: as and I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.

John 16:5 – But now I go my way to Him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, whither goest thou?

What has been prepared for us:

John 14:2 - In my Father’s house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.

Isaiah 64:4 - For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him

I Corinthians 2:9 - But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Matthew 25:34 - Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Hebrews 11:16 - But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Revelation 21:2 - And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Christ’s Return:

Revelation 11:18 - And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Karl’s questions and comments on these Bible verses:

1) Where does Christ really go?  Does He mean he’s going somewhere physically in the universe.  Or, does he mean he’s leaving until another time?  Why does Christ (God) have to go anywhere?  Is this some sort of metaphor?

2) What is Christ preparing?  Is he literally preparing other planets (mansions) or solar systems for us?  Is He preparing heaven?

3) Where does Christ have to return from?  Other parts of the universe, other dimensions, or heaven?

4) If Christ (God) is all powerful and omnipotent, why does He have to go anywhere or prepare anything for us?  Why can’t He just do it all in a magical instant?
